| SUMMARY. Based on the reassesment of published data from 1870 to 2023 inclusive, a list of Lepidoptera of the Voronezh Province is presented. The modern fauna of the region includes 1096 species from 57 families, known from reliable sources. At the same time, 49 species were identified that had not previously been noted in the "Catalogue of the Lepidoptera of Russia" [2019] and subsequent additions for the Central Chernozem region. Based on trophic relations, Phyllonorycter joannisi (Le Marchand, 1936) is first reported for the Voronezh Province. The list also includes 167 unnumbered species. Their presence in the area is questionable and requires confirmation due to the unreliability of the identifications bu the authors or the oldness of records (with a high probability of the disappearance of populations by the end of the XX century or the appearance of accidental migrants). Additionally, 47 species were excluded from the fauna of the region due to obviously incorrect identifications and are listed without numbers. |
