Click-beetles (Coleoptera: Elateridae) from Uzbekistan collected by joint Russian-Uzbek expedition 2014.

SUMMARY. Review of click-beetles from Uzbekistan collected by joint Russian-Uzbek expedition 2014 is given. Totally 14 species are treated (1 species from genus Reitterelater was not included in the review, because it had still not been exactly identified). Two species (Cardiophorus discicollis (Herbst, 1806), C. tarbinskyi Dolin, 1998) were indicated for Uzbekistan for the first time. In addition to general faunistic information some notes concerning morphology and ecology of certain species also contributed. Aedeagus of Cardiophorus picticollis Kraatz, 1882 is figured for the first time, for several species the same structures are more exactly illustrated. Besides more or less common and widely distributed in Central Asia species (Aeolosomus rossii (Germar, 1844), Drasterius figuratus (Germar, 1844), Agriotes meticulosus Candèze, 1863, Agriotes squalidus vesperalis Gurjeva, 1972, Melanotus acuminatus Reitter, 1891, Cardiophorus hauseri Schwarz, 1900, Cardiophorus nigricollis Erichson, 1840) several rare and little-known species are also presented in material: – Melanotus morbosus Candèze, 1886: rather rare Central Asian species with little-known distribution. – Melanotus remissus Gurjeva, 1989: previously was known only by original description from Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan. New material was collected approximately at the same territory as type series. In Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera [Cate et al., 2007] this species was erroneously indicated from territory of Tajikistan. – Cardiophorus discicollis (Herbst, 1806) is rather common species in West Palaearctic region, but not so typical in Central Asia. It is for the first time indicated for the territory of Uzbekistan. – Cardiophorus glasunovi Gurjeva, 1966: previously was known only by original description from environs of Nuratau Mtr. in Uzbekistan. In newly collected material one specimen was gathered at environs of Zeravshan Mtr., this extended areal of C. glasunovi Gurjeva, 1966 to north-west. In Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera [Cate et al., 2007] this species was erroneously indicated from territory of Tajikistan. – Cardiophorus picticollis Kraatz, 1882: known from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. There are little information about this species, we provide photography of a beetle and for the first time give drawing of its aedeagus. – Cardiophorus tarbinskyi Dolin, 1998: this species was known only by original description from Kyrgyzstan and adjacent territory of Kazakhstan. In Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera [Cate et al., 2007] this species was indicated only from territory of Kyrgyzstan. It is for the first time indicated for the territory of Uzbekistan. – Cardiophorus lopatini Gurjeva, 1966: this species was known only by original description from Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan. New material was collected near type locality. In Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera [Cate et al., 2007] this species was erroneously indicated from territory of Tajikistan.
