A list of seed beetles (Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae) of the Urals and adjacent territories

SUMMARY. An annotated list of grain beetles (Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae) is presented the Ural Region with adjacent territories of the Volga Basin, Vyatka-Kama interfluve, Western Siberia and Western Kazakhstan (36 species). There are 22 species in the Urals. A single species, Kytorhinus pectinicornis Melichar, 1912, is known in the Polar Urals (north of the Komi Republic). There are 3 species in the Northern Urals (in the Komi Republic, in the north-east of the Perm Area and in the north-west of the Sverdlovsk Province). There are 10 species in the Middle Urals (10 species in the Perm Area and 4 species in the Sverdlovsk Province). Acanthoscelides obtectus (Say, 1831) was first discovered in the Middle Urals (Perm Area, Perm City). Bruchus atomarius (Linnaeus, 1761) and B. loti Paykull, 1800 are given for the first time for the urban fauna of Perm. City There are 22 species of Bruchinae in the Southern Urals (14 species in Bashkortostan, 10 species in the Chelyabinsk Province, 18 species in the Orenburg Province). Bruchidius astragali (Boheman, 1829) was first recorded in the Orenburg Province (Sol-Iletsk), the find is the southeasternmost (51° S., 55° W.) in Russia.

On the winter activity of spear-winged flies (Diptera: Lonchopteridae) in the Vladimir Province

SUMMARY. In the course of studying representatives of the Diptera order appearing on the snow surface in the Vladimir Province, we discovered 3 species of spear-winged flies (Lonchopteridae): Lonchoptera lutea Panzer, 1809, L. bifurcata (Fallen, 1810) and L. scutellata Stein, 1890. The timing of the appearance of insects in the snow, the distribution of flies by biotopes, as well as the weather conditions under which spear-winged flies enter the snow are considered.
