To the results of the mtDNA markers study of European populations of Euphydryas intermedia (Ménétri-ès, 1859) and E. italica Back, Haussmann, Salk et Weiss, 2015 (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) by mtDNA study results

SUMMARY. The neotype of Melitaea maturna var. intermedia Ménétriès 1859 is designated; the type locality of E. inter-media (Ménétriès, 1859) by the neotype designation is “Schilka” (Shilka river, Transbaikal Russia). Occur-rence of E. intermedia in West Europe confirmed by molecular-genetic methods and it is known at the mo-ment from only Finland (it is recorded from Finland and Scandinavia in general for the first time). Addition-ally confirmed that the material from Alps investigated by us and determined previously as E. intermedia (ssp. wolfensbergeri (Frey, 1880)), by its mtDNA is E. maturna (Linnaeus, 1758), mixed to it by the external morphology and must be treated as its regional middle mountainous subspecies (or a group of closely related local subspecies). However the material from the type locality of ssp. wolfensbergeri is not examined. E. ital-ica Back, Haussmann, Salk et Weiss, 2015 is quite close by the mtDNA to E. intermedia; it inhabit Italy (Piedmont area) and possibly adjacent regions of France.

New record of Armada clio (Staudinger, 1884) in the Stavropol Region and revision of the taxonomic status of Armada barrygoateri Fibiger et Ronkay, 2003 (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

SUMMARY. Confirmed the occurrence in Stavropol Region of Central Asiatic (Turkestanian) species Armada clio (Staudinger, 1884): two female specimens were collected, one of them with typical wing pattern and second one with wing pattern characteristic for recently described taxon barrygoateri. Basing on the morphological and molecular investigation of the last specimen we do the following nomenclatural conclusion: Armada clio (Staudinger, 1884) =barrygoateri Fibiger et Ronkay, 2003, syn. n.; A. clio f. barrygoateri Fibiger et Ronkay, 2003, stat. n. .

New data on the insufficiently studied species of ground beetles (Coleoptera: Trachypachidae, Carabidae) of the Middle Urals

SUMMARY. The summarized information and an annotated list of several insufficiently studied ground beetles of the Middle Urals are presented. These are 1 Trachypachidae and 174 Carabidae species (60.2% of total 289 species registered for the Perm Area), that meet the criteria «single» (abundance score 1), as well as «few» or «rare» (abundance score 2) according to the method of Yu.A. Pesenko [1982]. The two species: Dromius fenestratus (Fabricius, 1794) and Sericoda quadripunctata (De Geer, 1774) are first recorded for the Perm Area. First indicated for Perm City are the following 5 species of ground beetles: Agonum versutum Sturm, 1824, Badister peltatus (Panzer, 1796), Bembidion minimum (Fabricius, 1792), B. petrosum Gebler, 1833, Notiophilus aestuans Dejean, 1826. Annotations to species include information about their distribution and ecology over the Region. .
