V.V. Zolotuhin The genus Laothoe Fabricius, 1807 (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae): how many species? Summary. A taxonomic score of the genus Laothoe Fabricius, 1807, is revised; so far 5 species have traditionally been consid-ered within. The following taxa are raised here to full specific status based on morphological characters and molecu-lar investigation: L. iberica Eitschberger, Danner & Surholt, 1989, L. populetorum (Staudinger, 1887), L. populeti (Bienert, [1870]), L. sinica (Rothschild & Jordan, 1903) and L. witti Eitschberger, Danner & Surholt, 1998. Two species are described as new for the science: Laothoe caucao, sp. n. (type locality: [Georgia] «Kaukasus, Tiflis», the holotype is kept in the coll. of ZISP) and L. selene sp. n. (type locality: « China, NW Yunnan, Li-jing/Zhongdian, near Tuguancun, N 27°29.700’, E 99°53.700’, 3200 m», the holotype is kept in the coll. of the World Insect Gallery (Joniskis, Lithuania).). Thus, the genus Laothoe consists now of 12 species. urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:C257586E-3FEF-4FDC-A4FB-C711369BF03B |

43 | A.V. Amolin To the study landscape-biotopic distribution of bees of Colletidae family (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) in the Donbass Summary. In the territory of the Donbass the Colletidae family is represented by at least 38 species, two genera (Hylaeus – 22 species, Colletes – 16 species) and two subfamilies. The subfamily Hylaeinae contains here at least 22 species belonging to the same genus and 9 to subgenus: Hylaeus (Prosopis) confusus Nylander, 1852, H. (Prosopis) gibbus Saunders, 1850, H. (Prosopis) signatus (Panzer, 1798), H. (Prosopis) trinotatus (Perez, 1895), H. (Prosopis) variegatus (Fabricius, 1798), H. (Dentigera) breviceps Morawitz, 1876, H. (Dentigera) brevicornis Nylander, 1852, H. (Dentigera) gredleri Forster, 1871, H. (Dentigera) kahri Forster, 1871, H. (Paraprosopis) sinuatus (Schenck, 1853), H. (Paraprosopis) styriacus Forster, 1871, H. (Hylaeus) angustatus (Schenck, 1859), H. (Hylaeus) annulatus (Linnaeus, 1758), H. (Hylaeus) bisinuatus Forster, 1871, H. (Hylaeus) communis Nylander, 1852, H. (Hylaeus) moricei (Friese, 1898), H. (Patagiata) difformis (Eversmann, 1852), H. (Lambdopsis) dilatatus (Kirby, 1802), H. (Lambdopsis) euryscapus Forster, 1871, H. (Koptogaster) punctulatissimus Smith, 1842, H. (Abrupta) cornutus Curtis, 1831, H. (Spatulariella) hyalinatus Smith, 1842. The subfamily Colletinae is represented by one genus and at least 16 species: Colletes greffei Alfken, 1900, C. cunicularius (Linnaeus, 1758), C. nasutus Smith, 1853, C. albomaculatus (Lucas, 1849), C. punctatus Mocsary, 1877, C. eous Morice, 1904, C. hylaeiformis Eversmann, 1852, C. daviesanus Smith, 1846, C. inexpectatus Nosciewicz, 1936, C. fodiens (Fourcroy, 1785), C. similis Schenck, 1853, C. mlokossewiczi Radoszkowski, 1891, C. chengtehensis Yasumatsu, 1935, C. marginatus Smith, 1846, C. succinctus (Linnaeus, 1758), C. tuberculatus Morawitz, 1894. Among the rare steppe species of Colletidae we noted: Colletes greffei, C. punctatus, C. albomaculatus, C. eous, C. chengtehensis, Hylaeus kahri, H. breviceps, H. moricei, H. signatus, H. euryscapus. Species Hylaeus trinotatus, Hylaeus kahri are first observed in the study area. Among the noted ecological and landscape groups, two polar groups of steppe xerophilous and forest mesophilous and meadow-forest species and one transitional group of mesoxerophilous species should be distinguished. Among psammophilous species are found Colletes chengtehensis, C. daviesanus and C. inexpectatus. The species Colletes cunicularius, apparently, is a relic of the Pleistocene periglacial landscapes of Eurasia. urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:5D15B81B-3575-48F5-A8B5-527F30A2ACB8 |
