To the knowledge of systematics of рalaearctic satyrids from the genus Coenonympha Hübner, [1819] (Lepidoptera: Satyridae).

SUMMARY. A review of genera of Coenonymphinа, based on male and female genitalia as well as molecular analysis of СОI and Ef1α genes is given, with a brief overview of generic structure of Palaearctic Coenonymphinа and an identification key. Treatment of Coenonympha “extra lato” (sensu Kodandaramaiah, Wahlberg, 2009) is considered unjustified, with outer position of morphologically distinct Triphysa Zeller, 1850. Considering the paraphyly of Coenonympha + Lyela cluster, generic status of Lyela Swinhoe, 1908 is preserved, with Coenonympha Hübner, [1819] (s.l.) split into 3 genera: Coenonympha (s.str.) (monotypic, with type species Papilio geticus Esper, 1794), Disommata, gen.n. (monotypic, with type species Coenonympha nolckeni Erschoff, 1874) and Chortobius [Dunning et Pickard], 1858, stat. rest. (all other species, with type species Papilio pamphilus Linnaeus, 1758). It is supposed that the North American C. haydenii (Edwards, 1872) and Chinese Sinonympha amoena Lee, 1974 may belong to either nominate or their own subgenera of Coenonympha.

A review of the subgenus Maculinea van Eecke, 1915 of the genus Phengaris Doherty, 1891 (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae) of the palaearctic fauna.

SUMMARY. In the present message a review of blue butterflies of the subgenus Maculinea van Eecke, 1915 of the genus Phengaris Doherty, 1891 of the fauna of Palaearctic region is given. This subgenus includes 8 species. The data on biology, distribution, variability and subspecific structure of each species is presented. The lectotypes of Phengaris (Maculinea) alcon monticola (Staudinger, 1901), Ph. (M.) teleius obscurata (Staudinger, 1892), Ph. (M.) t. euphemia (Staudinger, 1887), Ph. (M.) cyanecula (Eversmann, 1848), Ph. (M.) arionides (Staudinger, 1887), Ph. (M.) arion bashkiria (Krulikovsky, 1897) and neotypes of Ph. (M.) alcon ([Denis et Schiffermüller], [1775]), Ph. (M.) cyanecula sauron (Korb, 2003) are designated. A new subspecies, Ph. (M.) cyanecula arven, ssp.n., with the type locality “China: Nan-Shan, eastern limit” is described. Ph. (M.) teleius (Bergsträsser, 1779) for the first time recorded from Tian Shan (Suusamyr valley). Taxa daisensis and hosonoi syninymized with kazamoto by the type localities (all three taxa are described from Honshu island): Phengaris (Maculinea) teleius kazamoto (Druce, 1875) = Ph. (M.) t. daisensis Matsumura, 1926, syn.n.; = Ph. (M.) t. hosonoi Takahashi, 1973, syn.n. The new data about myrmecophily in this subgenus are given: Ph. (M.) cyanecula with Myrmica lacustris Ruzsky, 1905, Ph. (M.) alcon with M. tenuispina Ruzsky, 1905 in Kirghiz Mts. (North Tian-Shan).

SUMMARY. The larvae of Actorthia sp., Acrosathe annulata (Fabricius, 1805), larva and pupa of Dichoglena nigripennis (Ruthe, 1831) (Diptera: Therevidae) are described for the first time. The key to larvae of the 3 genera is composed.

The digger wasps (Hymenoptera: Ampulicidae, Sphecidae, Crabronidae) of the Chuvash Republic.

SUMMARY. During the study of collection material gathered from 1954 to 2011 on the territory of Chuvash Republic 119 species of digger wasps from 3 families (Ampulicidae, Sphecidae, Crabronidae) were identified, 16 of them are found in Chuvashia for the first time. There was also found a range of rare species known from Middle Volga region in single samples: Prionyx nudatus (Kohl, 1885), Dryudella lineata Mocsáry, 1879, Gorytes procrustes Handlirsch, 1888, Crossocerus styrius (Kohl, 1892), Crossocerus walkeri (Shuckard, 1837), Crossocerus binotatus Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau et Brullé, 1835, Ectemnius nigritarsus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1841), Nitela fallax Kohl, 1884, Pemphredon enslini (Wagner, 1932), Spilomena enslini Blüthgen, 1953, Stigmus convergens Tsuneki, 1954, Psenulus laevigatus (Schenck, 1857), Psenulus meridionalis de Beaumont, 1937.

Contributions to the fauna of bees (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) of Moscow Province. 2. Family Apidae. Subfamilies Apinae (excluding Bombus Latr.) and Xylocopinae.

SUMMАRY. Article contains generalized information on world distribution and data on distribution in Moscow Province of 26 species of bees of family Apidae. Ceratina chalybea Chevrier, 1872 is given for the province for the first time. The localities, the data of catching, the quantity of collected specimens and original information on ecology (trophic and lectic links, flight period, visited stations) are included. Intraspecific color variation of body pilosity for variable species in Moscow Рrovince is noted. One example of using DNA barcoding for investigation of local faunas is discussed.
