Clarification of data on the Far Eastern representatives of genus Hesperia Fabricius, 1793 (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae).

SUMMARY. Data on Hesperia florinda (Butler, 1878) and Hesperia comma repugnans Staudinger, 1892 in the Far East is updated and both are treated as distinct taxa. Lectotypes of both taxa are designated and the specific diagnoses of florinda (Butler, 1878) and repugnans Staudinger, 1892 are clarified.

The subspecific structure of Parnassius apollo (Linnaeus, 1758) (Lepidoptera: Papilionidae).

SUMMARY. A taxonomic structure for Parnassius apollo (Linnaeus, 1758), based on the analysis of morphology and nucleotide sequences of the fragment of mitochondrial gene COI is proposed; the most of described subspecies are downgraded to synonyms. It is shown that the COI variability has a clearly clinal nature and our subspecies division has mostly geographical than morphological character.

New taxa of Satyridae from Central Asia (Lepidoptera).

SUMMARY. Paralasa kusnezovi bektur, ssp. n. is described from Kirghiz Mts. (Ala-Archa alpine camping). It differs from all known subspecies by its larger size and lighter wing coloration. P. yamuna, sp. n. is described from Bhatta-Parsau locality in Himalayas, it differs from the closely related species P. kalinda (Moore, 1865) by the presence of cog in the internal surface of valva, by the valve structure, by the postvaginal plate structure and by darker coloration. Erebia progne sayak, ssp. n. from the Upper Naryn river valley is described, its differs from all known subspecies by a lighter wing coloration. The additional data to identification of lectotypes of P. jordana (Staudinger, 1882) and P. kusnezovi helios (Bang-Haas, 1927) and of the holotype by monotypy of P. jordana styx (Bang-Haas, 1927) is given.

SUMMARY. An annotated list of 43 species is given. Three species — Dirhinosia unifasciella (Rebel, 1929), Anarsia stepposella Ponomarenko, 2002 ( Gelechiidae) «Aporodes» dentifascialis Christoph, 1887 (Pyraustidae) are new for Europe, 16 species — Infurcitinea finalis Gozmány, 1959 (Tineidae), Ypsolopha scabrella (Linnaeus, 1761) (Ypsolophidae), Ethmia pyrausta (Pallas, 1771) (Ethmiidae), Perygra lassella (Staudinger, 1859), comb. n. (Coleophoridae), Megcraspedus litovalvellus Junnilainen, 2010, Monochroa rumicitella (Hofmann, 1868), Helcystogramma flavescens Junnilainen, 2010, Anarsia leberonella Réal, 1994 (Gelechiidae), Phtheochroa procerana (Lederer, 1853), Pelochrista aureliana Popescu-Gorj, 1984 (Tortricidae), Corcyra cephalonica (Stainton, 1876) (Pyralidae), Hypsotropha unipunctella (Ragonot, 1888), Pempelia geminella (Eversamann, 1844), Apomyelois bistriatella (Hulst, 1877), Metallosticha argyrogrammos (Zeller, 1847) (Phycitidae), Scirpophaga xanthopygata Schawerda, 1922 (Pyraustidae) are recorded from the Ukraine for the first time. One gelechiid species — Aristotelia pancaliella (Staudinger, 1871) is excluded from the fauna of the Ukraine due to previous misidentifications. The genitalia of hitherto unknown male are described for Aporodes dentifascialis Christoph, 1887.

It includes 54 species (5 Pyralidae, 21 Phycitidae, 14 Pyraustidae and 14 Crambidae), supplementing the published results of the previous period of 20062008. 34 from them are revealed for the first time for the Rostov Province and another 20 are previously known after the data of late XIX century. Ecological and geographic peculiarities, biology and conservation problems of the Parnassius corybas Fischer de Waldheim, 1823 (phoebus auct., nec (Fabricius, 1793)) (Lepidoptera: Papilionidae) in the Ural Mountains.

SUMMARY. The paper describes the features of the landscape and habitat distribution of the Parnassius corybas Fischer de Waldheim, 1823 (phoebus auct.) in the Urals. Food plants, phenology and preimaginal stages are characterized. The main limiting factors of population are defined, and recommendations on the protection of species are given.

Analysis of taxonomic structure of noctuid fauna (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae s.l.) of Ukraine as a result of a monitoring scheme.

SUMMARY. Analysis of taxonomic structure of noctuid fauna (Noctuidae s.l., sensu Fibiger & Hacker, 1991) of Ukraine was done as well as its comparison with faunas of four neighboring European countries: Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania and South Federal Region of Russia (SFR). Noctuids in Ukraine are represented by 700 species, 270 genera, and 32 subfamilies. The largest diversity is found in subfamily Xyleninae (96 genera and 202 species), followed by Noctuinae (29 and 108) and Hadeninae (31 and 105) respectively; 7 include only 1 genus and 12 species (subfamilies Rivulinae, Boletobiinae, Aventiinae, Dilobinae, Eriadinae, Euteliinae, Eriopinae). Common features and differences between the fauna of Ukraine and neighboring countries have been analyzed.
